Expanding Your Horizons conferences have been held in cities across the United States. More than 625,000 young women have attended, participated, and enjoyed learning about career possibilities in the math and science fields in EYH events around the world since 1975. In Washington State, conferences are held in more than 10 cities throughout the year. Our mission is to encourage young women to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers. Through Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) Network programs, we provide STEM role models and hands-on activities for middle and high school girls. Our ultimate goal is to motivate girls to become innovative and creative thinkers ready to meet 21st Century challenges. The Network's programs are developed based on the following assumptions:
Financial support comes from membership dues and donations and grants from corporations, foundations, and government agencies. The evening features a multi-course, gourmet meal paired with fine wine and beer and includes live and silent auctions accompanied by beautiful live music provided by harpist, Diane Sonntag.
Empowerment 4 Girls creates programs that educate, inspire and empower girls in our community. We are creating the leaders that the world needs, now.
